I’ve Been Moonlighting

13 October 2008 No Comment
Well, it feels good to be back. We started school about two weeks ago and I’ve been consumed with that work. It is exciting, complicated, busy, and until I get everything together a lot of work. We are homeschoolers and our school year has just begun. My original plan was to start in August, but obviously, that didn’t happen and

here we are now. I’m actually quite excited about what the children (and Mommy) will be learning this year and also looking forward to the field trips we have planned, the books we will read, the courses we will cover, just the whole “school thing.”

One of the reasons I started blogging was to have some accountability and a personal record of what we do in school. Earlier this year, I started a school blog and then decided to merge it with Little Green Secrets. That worked for a while, but I decided to go the original route and started blogging at Homeschool Roster again. That location allows me to journal our homeschool experiences and anything else I may find along the way that will help us or others with any questions and or insight into the the world of homeschooling. I will still be writing at Little Green Secrets, but will be hanging out there a little more until I get myself together. I make a lists of the lists I need to make and that holds up my production process, but I’m very organized (in my head). I’ve learned the best organization is on paper so I can see what I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve got a lot to do.

If you want to see what we have been up to, then come on over to the Homeschool Roster. It is in BETA mode. I am still working out the kinks on the site (as well as in our school schedule). One huge kink is I can’t get my background color to show. That was a big disappointment especially since I thought that was done and happen to use another computer to find a white background. A white background is fine on another blog, like this one, but not on the homeschool one. So, you don’t get the beautiful contrast that I see and the whole aesthetic experience is not there. I’m determined to get it corrected and will keep piddling away until I’m satisfied.
