Well, it feels good to be back. We started school about two weeks ago and I’ve been consumed with that work. It is exciting, complicated, busy, and until I get everything together a lot of work. We are homeschoolers and our school year has just begun. My original plan was to start in August, but obviously, that didn’t happen and

here we are now. I’m actually quite excited about what the children (and Mommy) will be learning this year and also looking forward to the field trips we have planned, …

“I’m happy to report, it’s still working.”

“Oh. We have a drawing board for that?
.
“Mom, it’s all good.
Okay, so when I’m not teaching my children how to draw on their faces, we actually study subjects that better enhance our minds. I’m STILL working on our schedule. Even seven years later, I still do not really know how to tell them, but I do realize they need to know.
Seven years ago, I was pregnant …

We can stay at home all day long or go anywhere we want to go. Well, again, this school year we have chosen to go almost everywhere we want to go.A few years ago, I did what I call my trial homeschool experience. I was deciding how this new venture (adventure) was going to work for our …

Okay, so far, I’ve spent almost $30 in late fees. I thought that by going to the library and borrowing books instead of buying them that I would be utilizing available resources, help save a tree, and also keep more money in my pocket. Well, my consistent inability to return books on time has put holes in my pockets and left no change behind. At first, I was doing really well. We

would get enough books to last us for one month and then return one month later, return some and …

When I was growing up, I treated my books like precious jewels. I bought a combination of hard back books (I would always remove the cover) and paperback, which received thoughtful care as I methodically gave it its new book crease, in just the right place, to not break the binding and to prevent future false creases. I also labeled each book with the owner’s name (mine) on the numbered pages that you could read the same from front to back (ex: 121, 343, etc.). Peculiar you say? Well, …
